Sold at the lower estimate price
In October 2021 Christies held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Salt Still Life by Ralph Goings. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,656.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Goings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Hot Fudge Sundae Interior" in May 2014 with an auction result of SEK 3,100,000.00 (€ 339,772.73).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Salt Still Life von Ralph Goings zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.656,51) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Goings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Hot Fudge Sundae Interior" im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 3.100.000,00 (€ 339.772,73).
