Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by N. Dash achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2014. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Groundings (1) sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,492.67) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by N. Dash; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Healer sold at auction in July 2014 with the realized price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,532.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von N. Dash erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Groundings (1) für USD 37.500,00 (€ 27.492,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von N. Dash; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Healer im Juli 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.532,86).
