Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work W/1.W.C. by N. Dash. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,369.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by N. Dash - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Healer, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,532.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit W/1.W.C. von N. Dash zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.369,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von N. Dash mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Healer beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.532,86) versteigert wurde.
