Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Miroslav Balka. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,735.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Miroslav Balka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 180 X 40 X 142, which sold at auction in April 2018 for EUR 60,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Miroslav Balka zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.735,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Miroslav Balka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 180 X 40 X 142 beobachtet, die im April 2018 für EUR 60.000,00 versteigert wurde.
