This artwork by Miroslav Balka achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in February 2016. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 28,830.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Miroslav Balka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 180 X 40 X 142, which sold at auction in April 2018 for EUR 60,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Miroslav Balka erzielte im Februar 2016 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 28.830,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Miroslav Balka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 180 X 40 X 142 beobachtet, die im April 2018 für EUR 60.000,00 versteigert wurde.
