Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Small Abstract by Melissa Meyer for USD 375.00 (€ 330.92). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Melissa Meyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,216.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Small Abstract von Melissa Meyer für USD 375,00 (€ 330,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Melissa Meyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.216,68).
