Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Melissa Meyer could be acquired at Phillips in New York in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Saturday@Phillips auction, the work VSC XXXII changed hands for USD 480.00 (€ 358.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Melissa Meyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,216.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Melissa Meyer konnte im März 2007 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Saturday@Phillips wechselte die Arbeit VSC XXXII für USD 480,00 (€ 358,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Melissa Meyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.216,68).
