Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Atlantic Series: three plates by Melissa Meyer for USD 1,188.00 (€ 1,084.44). This price was achieved in the auction Editions Online at Phillips in an online auction and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Melissa Meyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2010 for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,216.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Atlantic Series: three plates von Melissa Meyer für USD 1.188,00 (€ 1.084,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Editions Online bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Melissa Meyer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2010 für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.216,68) versteigert wurde.
