This artwork by Melissa Meyer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in July this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work without title sold for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,613.43) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Melissa Meyer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in September 2010 with the realized price of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,216.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Melissa Meyer erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.613,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Melissa Meyer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.216,68).
