In May last year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Mili's Corner by Matthew Wong. The »bidding war« ended at USD 567,000.00 (€ 528,375.73), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Wong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Night Watcher in May last year with an auction result of USD 5,897,150.00 (€ 5,495,433.79).

Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mili's Corner von Matthew Wong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 567.000,00 (€ 528.375,73) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthew Wong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Night Watcher im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.897.150,00 (€ 5.495.433,79).
