Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pink Wave by Matthew Wong was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. The price achieved of HKD 22,635,000.00 (€ 2,754,512.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 16,000,000.00 – 26,000,000.00. Other works by Matthew Wong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work The Night Watcher was auctioned for USD 5,897,150.00 (€ 5,495,433.79).

Die Arbeit Pink Wave von Matthew Wong kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 22.635.000,00 (€ 2.754.512,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 16.000.000,00 – 26.000.000,00 angegeben worden.
