In July 2019 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Online, which included the work New York by Marisol Escobar. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,477.09) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marisol Escobar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit New York von Marisol Escobar zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.477,09) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marisol Escobar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Andy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 794.500,00 (€ 642.591,39).
