Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included the work Woman from Paris by Marisol Escobar. The price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 14,646.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marisol Escobar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman from Paris von Marisol Escobar zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 14.646,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marisol Escobar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Andy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 794.500,00 (€ 642.591,39).
