Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marisol Escobar could be acquired at Christies in New York in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work The Right Honorable Harold Wilson changed hands for USD 119,700.00 (€ 110,099.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marisol Escobar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Andy in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marisol Escobar konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wechselte die Arbeit The Right Honorable Harold Wilson für USD 119.700,00 (€ 110.099,34) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marisol Escobar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Andy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 794.500,00 (€ 642.591,39).
