Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marisol Escobar could be acquired at Bonhams in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples auction, the work Pocahontas changed hands for USD 229.50 (€ 214.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marisol Escobar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marisol Escobar konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Pocahontas für USD 229,50 (€ 214,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marisol Escobar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Andy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 794.500,00 (€ 642.591,39).
