Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Magritte VI (Pushed Out Face) by Marisol Escobar was auctioned at Christies in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 182,700.00 (€ 167,491.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marisol Escobar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Andy, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Magritte VI (Pushed Out Face) von Marisol Escobar kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 182.700,00 (€ 167.491,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Marisol Escobar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Andy beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für USD 794.500,00 (€ 642.591,39) versteigert wurde.
