Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Suite of Six Lithographs by Marisol Escobar was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 765.00 (€ 849.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marisol Escobar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Suite of Six Lithographs von Marisol Escobar wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 765,00 (€ 849,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marisol Escobar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Andy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 794.500,00 (€ 642.591,39).
