A top price for Mariko Mori
When the work Cyclic II by Mariko Mori was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2018, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 7,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than 22 times as high at USD 156,250.00 (€ 126,826.30). This high result makes Cyclic II the most expensive artwork by Mariko Mori that we have observed at auctions so far.
