Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Star Doll by Mariko Mori for USD 125.00 (€ 109.85). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Edition at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mariko Mori achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cyclic II in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 156,250.00 (€ 126,826.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Star Doll von Mariko Mori für USD 125,00 (€ 109,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Edition bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mariko Mori erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cyclic II im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.250,00 (€ 126.826,30).
