This artwork by Luciano Fabro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2017. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Gli Amanti (Nudi) sold for USD 396,500.00 (€ 352,883.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luciano Fabro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italia dell’emigrante (Italy of the Emigrant) in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,714,500.00 (€ 3,796,907.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luciano Fabro erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Gli Amanti (Nudi) für USD 396.500,00 (€ 352.883,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luciano Fabro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italia dell’emigrante (Italy of the Emigrant) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.714.500,00 (€ 3.796.907,49).
