Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Contatto. Tautologia (Contact. Tautology) by Luciano Fabro was sold in the Thinking Italian auction at Christies in London in October 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 536,750.00 (€ 605,288.41). Admittedly, works by Luciano Fabro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italia dell’emigrante (Italy of the Emigrant) in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,714,500.00 (€ 3,796,907.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Contatto. Tautologia (Contact. Tautology) von Luciano Fabro wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Thinking Italian bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 536.750,00 (€ 605.288,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luciano Fabro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italia dell’emigrante (Italy of the Emigrant) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.714.500,00 (€ 3.796.907,49).
