Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lucas Arruda could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 81,900.00 (€ 70,318.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lucas Arruda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled from the series Deserto-Modelo in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 3,780,000.00 (€ 420,297.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lucas Arruda konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 81.900,00 (€ 70.318,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucas Arruda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled from the series Deserto-Modelo im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.780.000,00 (€ 420.297,69).
