In March last year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Lucas Arruda. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 113,400.00 (€ 134,448.46), 42% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucas Arruda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled from the series Deserto-Modelo, which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 3,780,000.00 (€ 420,297.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lucas Arruda zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 113.400,00 (€ 134.448,46) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lucas Arruda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled from the series Deserto-Modelo beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 3.780.000,00 (€ 420.297,69) versteigert wurde.
