Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by León Ferrari could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Sin Título changed hands for USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,486.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by León Ferrari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grafismos, Flores Y Mariposas in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 201,811.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von León Ferrari konnte im September 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Sin Título für USD 21.250,00 (€ 19.486,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von León Ferrari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grafismos, Flores Y Mariposas im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 201.811,82).
