Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by León Ferrari was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,672.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by León Ferrari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grafismos, Flores Y Mariposas in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 201,811.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von León Ferrari wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.672,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von León Ferrari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grafismos, Flores Y Mariposas im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 201.811,82).
