Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by José Guerrero achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. In the Contemporary Part I and Part II auction, the work without title sold for USD 43,000.00 (€ 30,241.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by José Guerrero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Comienzo, 1982 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 228,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von José Guerrero erzielte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Part I and Part II wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 43.000,00 (€ 30.241,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Guerrero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Comienzo, 1982 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 228.250,00.
