Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction Modern and Contmporary Editions, which included the work Voodoo, from Independent Curators 15th Anniversary portfolio by Jane Hammond. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of USD 625.00 (€ 416.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jane Hammond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Modern and Contmporary Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Voodoo, from Independent Curators 15th Anniversary portfolio von Jane Hammond zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 625,00 (€ 416,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jane Hammond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32).
