Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (69, 105, 221, 229, 114, 91, 34, 267, 184, 258, 138, 14, 154, 246, 271) by Jane Hammond was auctioned at Christies in Paris in October 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 312.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jane Hammond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (69, 105, 221, 229, 114, 91, 34, 267, 184, 258, 138, 14, 154, 246, 271) von Jane Hammond im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 312,50 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jane Hammond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32).
