Auction result well in line with expectations

In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Jack Goldstein. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 75,000.00 – 125,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 65,324.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jack Goldstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 782,500.00 (€ 601,460.42).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jack Goldstein zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 75.000,00 – 125.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 65.324,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Goldstein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 782.500,00 (€ 601.460,42).
