Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled Composition by Giorgio Cavallon was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. It achieved a price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,152.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Giorgio Cavallon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunday Morning in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 118,310.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled Composition von Giorgio Cavallon wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.152,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giorgio Cavallon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunday Morning im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 118.310,10).
