Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Giorgio Cavallon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in December 2018. In the First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,645.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giorgio Cavallon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunday Morning, which sold at auction in September 2018 for USD 137,500.00 (€ 118,310.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giorgio Cavallon erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.645,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Cavallon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunday Morning beobachtet, die im September 2018 für USD 137.500,00 (€ 118.310,10) versteigert wurde.
