A top price for Gerd Leufert
In November 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Betijoque by Gerd Leufert. The »bidding war« ended at USD 206,250.00 (€ 182,151.37), 72% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Betijoque the most expensive artwork by Gerd Leufert that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Betijoque von Gerd Leufert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 206.250,00 (€ 182.151,37) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Betijoque zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Gerd Leufert, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
