In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Listonado by Gerd Leufert. The »bidding war« ended at USD 93,750.00 (€ 78,794.76), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerd Leufert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Betijoque, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 206,250.00 (€ 182,151.37).

Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Listonado von Gerd Leufert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 78.794,76) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerd Leufert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Betijoque beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 206.250,00 (€ 182.151,37) versteigert wurde.
