Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Encuentros by Eduardo MacEntyre was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,696.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eduardo MacEntyre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pintura Generativa (Desarrollo De Un Tema Circular), which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,199.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Encuentros von Eduardo MacEntyre wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.696,48) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Eduardo MacEntyre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pintura Generativa (Desarrollo De Un Tema Circular) beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 40.199,39) versteigert wurde.
