This artwork by Eduardo MacEntyre achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2007. In the Latin American Sale Day Session auction, the work Hacia un vertice, from the series Pintura Generativa sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,510.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eduardo MacEntyre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pintura Generativa (Desarrollo De Un Tema Circular) in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,199.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eduardo MacEntyre erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Sale Day Session wurde die Arbeit Hacia un vertice, from the series Pintura Generativa für USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.510,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eduardo MacEntyre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pintura Generativa (Desarrollo De Un Tema Circular) im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 40.199,39).
