This artwork by Doris Salcedo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2019. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work Atrabiliarios (Desafiante) sold for USD 143,750.00 (€ 126,329.20) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Doris Salcedo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 665,000.00 (€ 629,615.60).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Doris Salcedo erzielte im Februar 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wurde die Arbeit Atrabiliarios (Desafiante) für USD 143.750,00 (€ 126.329,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Doris Salcedo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 665.000,00 (€ 629.615,60).
