Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 1,785.00 (€ 1,773.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Doris Salcedo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 665,000.00 (€ 629,615.60).

Die Arbeit For Hans Haacke and Edward Fry (Guggenheim Museum, New York) von Doris Salcedo kam im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.785,00 (€ 1.773,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Doris Salcedo erzielen.
