Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Forever by David Thorpe was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,827.57). Admittedly, works by David Thorpe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Do What You Have To Do in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 40,332.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Forever von David Thorpe kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.827,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Thorpe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Do What You Have To Do im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 40.332,25).
