Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Thorpe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2019. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Good People sold for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,549.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Thorpe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Do What You Have To Do sold at auction in October 2011 with the realized price of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 40,332.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Thorpe erzielte im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Good People für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.549,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von David Thorpe; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Do What You Have To Do im Oktober 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 40.332,25).
