This artwork by David Thorpe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2017. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Covenant Of The Elect sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,189.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Thorpe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Do What You Have To Do, which sold at auction in October 2011 for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 40,332.25).

In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Covenant Of The Elect für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.189,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Thorpe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Do What You Have To Do beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für GBP 34.850,00 (€ 40.332,25) versteigert wurde.
