Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Monday; and Saturday by Carolee Schneemann was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 2,268.00 (€ 1,947.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carolee Schneemann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eye Body: 36 Transformative Actions in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 185,000.00 (€ 168,273.60).

Die Arbeit Monday; and Saturday von Carolee Schneemann wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.268,00 (€ 1.947,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carolee Schneemann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eye Body: 36 Transformative Actions im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 185.000,00 (€ 168.273,60).
