Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four Kisses + Detail (Vesper); Dead Engineer-Kosovo; Hallucinatory I; and Hallucinatory II by Carolee Schneemann was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2019. The price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,695.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carolee Schneemann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eye Body: 36 Transformative Actions in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 185,000.00 (€ 168,273.60).
