Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Meat Joy by Carolee Schneemann was sold in the First Open auction at Christies in New York in September 2015. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,798.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carolee Schneemann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eye Body: 36 Transformative Actions in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 185,000.00 (€ 168,273.60).

Die Arbeit Meat Joy von Carolee Schneemann wurde im September 2015 in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.798,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
