The work Eye Body: 36 Transformative Actions by Carolee Schneemann was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015. The price achieved of USD 185,000.00 (€ 168,273.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Eye Body: 36 Transformative Actions is the most expensive artwork by Carolee Schneemann that we have observed at auctions so far.
