This artwork by Benjamin Edwards achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2008. In the Contemporary Art Part II auction, the work The Storm sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 8,836.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Benjamin Edwards; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Softstream Meadows sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Benjamin Edwards erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II wurde die Arbeit The Storm für USD 13.750,00 (€ 8.836,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Benjamin Edwards; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Softstream Meadows im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84).
