Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Approach and Immerse (North) by Benjamin Edwards was sold in the Saturday@Phillips auction at Phillips in London in March 2009. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,122.16), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Edwards - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Softstream Meadows, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Approach and Immerse (North) von Benjamin Edwards wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Saturday@Phillips bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.122,16) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Edwards mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Softstream Meadows beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84) versteigert wurde.
