Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2015 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Benjamin Edwards for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,674.56). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Benjamin Edwards have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Softstream Meadows in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2015 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Benjamin Edwards für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.674,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benjamin Edwards auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Softstream Meadows im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84).
