Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Benjamin Edwards could be acquired at Bonhams in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Convergence 1.1 changed hands for USD 256.00 (€ 232.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Edwards achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Softstream Meadows in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Benjamin Edwards konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Convergence 1.1 für USD 256,00 (€ 232,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Edwards erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Softstream Meadows im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84).
