Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Novatech Center by Benjamin Edwards was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction at Bonhams in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,088.00 (€ 987.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Edwards achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Softstream Meadows in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Novatech Center von Benjamin Edwards wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.088,00 (€ 987,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Edwards erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Softstream Meadows im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84).
