Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sir Nelson. Solid! by Barkley L. Hendricks was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 700,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 783,000.00 (€ 691,512.85). Admittedly, works by Barkley L. Hendricks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stanley in May this year with an auction result of USD 6,100,000.00 (€ 5,725,549.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sir Nelson. Solid! von Barkley L. Hendricks wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 700.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 783.000,00 (€ 691.512,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Barkley L. Hendricks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stanley im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.100.000,00 (€ 5.725.549,09).
